If you are planning a visit to Franklin County Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court, 373 S. High St., Columbus, beginning Monday, Nov. 17, please be aware of significant changes to traffic patterns near the building. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) expects to reopen the Front Street bridge over Interstates 70 and 71 after several years of construction. Because many courthouse visitors may not regularly travel downtown, we want to share the following information to help you plan your trip.

What’s Changing:

  • Front Street will reopen to two-way traffic. This may affect GPS directions and the usual flow of vehicles around the courthouse.
  • A new exit ramp from I-70 East to Fulton Street is scheduled to open.
  • The I-70 East exit to Livingston Avenue will close permanently on Nov. 15. If you normally follow signs to Livingston Avenue, please instead exit at Fulton Street, then take Third Street to reach Livingston.

What You Should Do:

  • Plan for additional travel time, especially if you are unfamiliar with downtown streets.
  • Use updated GPS directions, as some apps may take time to reflect new traffic patterns.
  • Follow posted signs and be alert for drivers adjusting to the changes.

Where can you park?

  • Parking is available at meters (for short time periods) near the courthouse on Fulton and Mound Streets.
  • The Franklin County Parking Garage, 34 E. Fulton St.
  • The Columbus Commons Main Garage. 55 E. Rich St.
