Stenographers

With a dedicated staff of 30 professionals, the Court Stenographers Office supports the demanding schedule of the Domestic Relations Division and the Juvenile Branch of the Court of Common Pleas.

The primary responsibility of the stenographers office is to create and preserve the official record of proceedings held before the Court's judges and magistrates. These records are essential to ensuring accurate and complete documentation of courtroom activity.

Our areas of specialization include:

  • Juvenile Traffic

  • Domestic and Juvenile Child Support

  • Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency

  • Delinquency

  • Unruly Cases

In most hearings, stenographers are responsible for producing the decisions and entries required by the Court, which reflect the Court's official orders. Additionally, upon request by a party or the Court—for purposes such as objection or appeal—the office prepares certified transcripts of Domestic Relations and Juvenile proceedings.
