Assigned Counsel

Screening Process

In compliance with Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 2151.352 and Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 120-1-03, the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Branch provides court-appointed counsel to parties who meet certain eligibility requirements. 

How to Apply 

To request court-appointed counsel, you must complete a Financial Disclosure and submit it by email to juv_appt@fccourts.org, or use our on-line electronic form here.

New Applicants

Attorneys who wish to be added to either the Domestic Relations GAL list or any Juvenile Appointment list should complete the application below. Local Rule requires attendance at an orientation session, and completion of certain additional training requirements.

Rules/Training Requirements

Please note that effective February 1, 2021, the Court has updated Local Juvenile Rule 4. Please review all training requirements for new attorneys and annual compliance requirements for current attorneys.
