Residential

While research supports that youth achieve the best outcomes when served within their own communities, there are instances when more intensive, out-of-home placement is necessary to address complex needs. Before a residential placement can occur, the youth must undergo a Behavioral Health Juvenile Justice (BHJJ) assessment, conducted by a clinician from Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The Court partners with licensed residential facilities that offer specialized programming focused on education, behavioral health, mental health, substance use, and sexually harmful behaviors. These placements provide a secure, structured setting where youth receive comprehensive services and individualized treatment designed to support their development and prepare them for a successful transition back into the community.
