Two celebrated for graduation from specialty courts  This week the Franklin County Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court celebrated the graduation of a mother from the Family Recovery Court and a young man from the Juvenile Recovery Court. The specialty courts are treatment programs overseen by Judge Elizabeth Gill (pictured) and Magistrate Larry Sanchez. These special dockets help people overcome addiction and associated legal problems.
Family Recovery Court is a program for parents who are having trouble staying sober. Juvenile Recovery Court’s goal is to assist in the rehabilitation of juvenile offenders who have been adversely affected by drugs and alcohol. The court is proud of both graduates for dedicating themselves to a sober lifestyle. |
