UPDATED Notice to public regarding curtailed operations due to COVID-19

April 3, 2020

In light of recent guidance from federal and state health authorities regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations and Juvenile Branch, has continued the Court’s period of curtailed operations for an additional five weeks.  The extended period will continue through May 15th, with an expected return to regular operations on May 18th.

The Court remains open at this time to hear emergency cases, which includes new and previously filed requests for emergency custody and civil protection order filings.  In addition, judges and magistrates may continue to hold pretrial and other non-essential hearings via teleconference.  However, during this time the Court’s operating hours will be limited, with access permitted from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Any member of the public who is unsure whether his or her hearing has been postponed may call (614) 525-4407 to confirm.
