Religion

Religious services are provided to youth on a voluntary basis. The services are coordinated with Youth for Christ Organization who provides a Chaplain for the facility.

The R&R department conducts an assessment during the intake process to determine the youths religious needs. The assessment is forward to the Chaplain who reviews and confirms the information.

The Chaplain maintains a resource list of a variety of religious representatives for youth with varying backgrounds of faith. He contacts various representatives as needed or requested.

The Chaplain assures that various religious programs are available to the youth at the facility. Once a week a service is held in the visitation area.

Youth have access to speak privately with the Chaplain by completing a conference request. The Chaplain is available in the facility three days a week.

As part of coordination of religious programming, approved volunteers also make themselves available one day a week for voluntary individual meetings with youth.
