General:
Check in with my court officer in the courtroom upon your arrival at court. If you choose to represent yourself at court, you are held to the same standard in the courtroom as an attorney.
Professionalism:
Be courteous and civil at all times. Only one person will be permitted to speak at a time in the courtroom.
Courtroom decorum and dress:
Dress appropriately. No hats or sunglasses are allowed in the courtroom. All cell phones must be turned off prior to entering the courtroom.
Children:
Do not bring your children to court. Children are not allowed in the courtroom. If necessary, a specific date and time will be scheduled for bringing a child to court for an interview.
Continuances
Continuances may be requested for good cause.
Exhibits
Please make copies of all exhibits you wish to present to the Court. You will not get the exhibit back if it is admitted for the purposes of the hearing and/or record.
Recording Equipment, Text Messages, Voice Messages, etc.
All information provided to the court may become public record. The parties are responsible for bringing the proper equipment to court to play voice messages, videotapes, etc. Text messages should be printed from a computer onto a paper copy for the court’s convenience. Please be aware that a party’s phone could be taken into evidence if proper support of evidence is needed. Parties should make copies of voice messages and digital pictures for the court’s consideration.
