Residential Treatment

Though research shows youth are best served in their own communities, at times more intensive, out of home placement is necessary. Prior to residential placement, a youth must receive a BHJJ assessment completed by a Nationwide Children’s Hospital clinician. The Court contracts with residential facilities that focus on education, behavioral, mental health, substance use, and sexual offending behaviors. Placement facilities provide comprehensive services and treatment in a secure and structured environment for the youth to prepare to transition back into the community.
