Employee Benefits

The Franklin County Cooperative Health Benefits Program which includes Franklin, Fairfield and Pickaway County employees offers a very comprehensive and generous healthcare benefit program. The employee and the Board of Commissioners share the premium for the health insurance package. Coverage is available for the employee and eligible dependents.

Vacation Leave:  
Vacation is accrued per pay period and is based on your length of service.  New employees and those with less than 5 years earn at a rate of 3.1 hours per pay for a total of 10 vacation days per year.   You will accrue at an increased rate at 5-year intervals.

Sick Leave:  
Full-time employees accrue sick leave time at the rate of 4.6 hours per pay.  
Personal Days:
January 1st of each year, regular full-time employees on active pay status are granted 32 hours of personal leave.  Personal leave must be taken during the year and cannot carry-over to the following year and cannot be converted to a cash payment under any circumstance.

Franklin County Holidays:
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.  Additional Holidays may be granted at the discretion of the DRJ Judges for our agency..
