SCREENING PROCESS
 
The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Division provides appointed counsel to parties who meet certain eligibility requirements, pursuant to ORC 2151.352 and OAC 120-1-03.

FEDERAL POVERTY GUIDELINES:
 
Attorneys who wish to be added to either the Domestic Relations GAL list or any Juvenile Appointment list should complete the application below. Local Rule requires attendance at an orientation session, and completion of certain additional training requirements.


RULES/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
 
Please note that effective February 1, 2021, the Court has updated Local Juvenile Rule 4.  Please review all training requirements for new attorneys and annual compliance requirements for current attorneys.

Attorneys are required to comply with various rules and training requirements.  Below is a list of required items necessary for compliance.

•   OAC 120-1-10 – Appointment Systems and Attorney Qualifications
•   List 5c (Bindover/SYO) – Adult Requirements
•   Superintendence Rule 48
•   Local Juvenile Rule 4 (Juvenile Court and contempt proceeding appointments)
•   Local Juvenile Rule 27/Domestic Rule 15 (Guardian ad Litem appointments in
     domestic relations and juvenile custody cases)

•   Standards of Representation in Juvenile Court
